Bredonborough.
Morning reading…

A little of The Writing Project.

Shopping on the High Street I…

II...

14.41 A 14.00 call to Brother Elan to discuss the current state and condition of The Thomas de Hartmann Project.
16.56 Over to World HQ…

... for watering.
18.56 To the surgery for the second part of the Wellman check-up. Back for supper and a hot date with the Minx – to Bredonborough Arts Centre for BODS: the Bredonborough Opera & Dramatic Society and their production of The Merry Widow.
22.25 It is possible to be a little critical of an am-dram company taking on a challenging piece, and perhaps not all the notes were hit as cleanly as Lehar intended. But why bother to be negative? Move beneath the surface and a world of the imagination is waiting. The child in me entered the magical space held open and available. Vilia was stunning. A live orchestra with conductor in tails, six pieces with synths to take the larger orchestral parts. Wonderful wonderful!
The approach adopted: look to the back of the stage, and a little above, to take in a general view of the scene being presented; rather than being concerned with the details and specifics of the performers/performances. Otherwise, it was easy to become involved in the mundane and everyday. Such as – look! it’s the young man from Tesco! (he was very good). Or, a service assistant at Boggle’s Gifts & Beauty Shop in the chorus line, doing the can-can.
All this and my Wife too.
To gentle.
